Time Warner has advertised that you can get on hotspots all over Southern California. It is a lie. I can never get on any hotspots. The hotspot app shows how spots all around me and I can never get on any of them. Shouldn't the FCC be notified to this false advertisement? I think Time Warner should be fined millions of dollars for this lie.

TWC WIFI passport issue "not verified"
Went to use the wifi while at the time warner cable store today and I downloaded a new profile via the TWC wifi app. The profile is supposed to let me surf securely from what I've read. However when installing the new profile on my iPhone 6, it warns me that it's "not verified."
Could this be an expired certificate issue? If so how does one make time warner aware of the problem?

TWC 1 hour Guest Access
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tablet which has Sprint Connections Optimizer installed (unable to uninstall).
At various locations where Guest Access via TWC WiFi is allowed with a 1 hour password, I am unable to connect. My browser automatically tells me my time has expired (when in fact it has been weeks since I have been able to use it.)
I have Stopped & Cleared Cache/Data on the Sprint Connections Optimizer, and the Chrome Browser (within the browser settings & also via the tablet app settings).
I have "forgotten" cleared the connection within the WiFi settings.
As this does not happen at just one location, it is not as simple as resetting a hotspot. Something is stuck in the tablet. What am I missing?

Can't Access Hotspot Because "Another device on the network is using your computer's IP address"
Frequently when I try to access CableWiFi or TWCWiFi Hotspots, I am unable to access the internet and a box pops up on my computer screen that says:
"Another device on the nework is using your compuer's IP address"
It lists my IP address in parenthesis, then underneath it continues,
"Try connecting again later. If you continue to have problems, change the IP address of this computer or the IP address of the other device. Contact the network administrator if you need more information."
I have only authorized one computer to use Hotspots on this Time Warner account. Apparently someone is stealing my internet connection and connecting multiple devices to these Hotspots without my authorization. How do I prevent them from doing so?

New Profile in TWC WiFI Finder iOS app.
So the updated iOS app has a new profile to connect to hotspots. After I installed it, it left the old profile still on the phone...question is can I safely delete the old profile? Thanks.

Hotspot keeps disconnecting
TWC Hotspot keeps dropping connection on my phone. Im actually getting excellent signal but the network will drop me every few minutes then reconnect after 30 seconds. Any ideas on how to make stop?

Issues with WiFi Finder app (Android)
Since installing this app on my Galaxy S6 Edge (running Lollipop 5.1.1) two days ago, the phone battery drains quite rapidly.
I unchecked the Auto-Connect box, but the app continues to search for hotspots and sends notifications. Is this because I saved my TWC ID and password?
I also am unable to edit Tags in the settings screen. Why is that?
Instead of uninstalling the app or turning off my phone's WiFi, is there a way to turn it off?

Uninstalled WIFI Finder, but still connecting to TWC APs
I recently uninstalled the WIFI Finder app. However, no matter what, when my phones WIFI is on, it attempts to, and sometimes does, connect to TWC Wifi access points. I do not want to connect to the TWC access points every time, sometimes I want to connect to a different WIFI accerss point. I have tried forgetting TWC Access Points in an attempt to avoid connecting, but that has not helped. Can someone suggest a fix to keep from automatically connecting to the TWC APs?

What happened to TWC hotspots? Most sites around town don't have a network connection
I have noticed now when my phone connects to a TWC hotspot, I have no internet connection, so not only do i not get notifications, my phone will auto connect when it sees a hotspot. Now I have to turn off wifi when I leave the house. Please fix and maintain your equipment if you are going to advertise this as a service with my account.

Passpoint Profile update fail
I've tried to update my expiring profile, but after downloading the profile, the screen goes blank and then nothing - no installation no matter how many times it do this. It's an iPad 2 runing iOS 9.3.1. Any suggestions?
ps I had no problems installing the update on my iPhone.

multiple devices on an account for WiFi Hotspots
Good morning - my wife and I just purchased new iPads (air2) and I figured out how to download and install the TWC WiFi Passpoint Profile Certificate for access to the TWC WiFi hot spot network via the app (albeit at my office and NOT on the TWC wifi network itself so that is the next test to see that it actually connects). BUT....do I need to UN-REGISTER the previously registered older iPad devices because isn't there is a limit to how many devices I am allowed to have registered for this service? If so, is this something I can do myself on-line from their website? Or should I just remove the certificates from the previous devices?

How can i disconnect a device thats not mine from a TWCWiFi Hotspot
I used a friends laptop and used my Time Warner credentials to log into a TWC WiFi Hotspot but cant disconnect from the netwrok anymore. I guess the real question is, how can i stop my friend from the TWC WiFi Hotspot without using my credentials?

Hot Spot get missing frequently...

I rent and small office to move from work at home to a more quite space (I am a freelancer web designer). I choose this particular building because the TWC hot spot was cover the whole building, for the past 5 months everything was working great. Around 3 week ago the TWC tech came with a sales lady and for what the manager of the building say they clean a lot of unused wire and fix some connection, after that the signal star to be weak and some time is not show on the available wifi connections. What is fun, before the tech and sale lady came was a couple private wifi and now the private connection are duplicate, maybe is a trick to force people like me get the business service :-( ?, I don't know.
My problem on get a pay service here is because the business service is expensive and if I want to pay a little bit less I have to sign a 2 year contract for a service of 10 mb download when the hot spot is 15 and in my case I not sure if I going to be here so much longer.
There is anyway or device I can use to amplified the signal?

Range extender
I have the 50Mps and TV plan at home. All works great. At work many sites are blocked so I try to connect to a TWC hotspot across the street. I bought a Bear RangeExtender which is an external amplified antenna transceiver but get some software or driver issues.
My question is if there are wireless extenders/repeaters that I can use that don't require a direct connection or WPS for initial set up? I can place one closer to the office wall than my desk is located. My google searches give me the impression that most or all of them require direct or WPS inital setup.

I was told Earthlink should work with TWC wifi hotspots, but it isn't connecting
I have Earthlink standard.
I called TWC customer service and spoke to someone. She put me on hold to speak to a supervisor. She told me my login should definately work and i should be able to use hotspots. Seems I can get into the android app but I'm having trouble connecting to a hotspot. Can you connect with TWC/Earthlink?

Update Partner Wifi Hotspots
The coverage map and app show partner wifi hotspots for Northern California. Except the partner hotspots are Xfinity, a Comcast company. Since the merger was cancelled, Comcast and Xfinity are no longer TWC partners. And they don't they are, because when I tried to log onto one, I got told I wasn't a valid user. How about updating your hotspot coverage? And why does a tech company take so long to make changes? This news, in tech terms, is very old and should have been corrected months ago.
